BILOGAI INTAN JAYA (IM) – The Raider Infantry Battalion 509/Balawara Yudha Kostrad, is part of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command (KOOPS TNI) in Papua, which carries out mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in the Intan Jaya Regency area, Papua Tengah Province.
On Saturday, 20 July 2024, the 509 Task Forces Patrol Team visited the Bilogai Village, Sugapa District, and conducted Social Communication (Komsos) during the patrol.
On the orders of the 509 Task Forces Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Dian Dessiawan Setyadi, the Bilogai Post led by First Lieutenant Erick Dakusa has planned and prepared for Patrol and the Komsos in the Bilogai Village.
This time, the Komsos was used by the Soldiers to interact and communicate with the residents to discover local developments. The presence of the Soldiers was welcomed happily by the residents who had the opportunity to meet face to face.
By continuing to prioritize security during activities, harmonious communication interactions between the Soldiers and the residents are increasingly being established with the initiative to distribute stationery to the Bilogai children.
The children’s joy was immediately visible from their wide smiles and laughter immediately after receiving the free stationery from the Soldiers. One of them, Marta Sondegau, expressed her impression, “Praise God, thank you Commander 509 for the stationery. God bless.”
“The initiative of the 509 Task Forces to distribute stationery in the Bilogai Village is the TNI’s concern to provide services for the basic necessities of the community, especially in the field of education, to support the acceleration of development in the Papua region,” said the KOOPS TNI Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, upon receiving the program report.
